Meet the Liquid Collaborative

 

We are about the experience, from the way we dress to how we make our guests feel. It’s creating cocktails with technique and beauty. It’s not about how fast or how many drinks you can make, but rather the way you make each one.

Alex and Donald are the co-founders and liquid chefs of The Liquid Collaborative, a private event collaboration in mixology. We specialize in the craft cocktail experience through our event bartending services, Brand Ambassadorships and mixology workshops.

 
 

Alexander Pérez - Founder

Alex has an extensive background in wine, spirits and beer having been in the industry for many years. He is the founder of Tequila Aficionado.com having thought of the idea of a premium tequila and mezcal online magazine back in early 1999. You’ll note his discriminating palate in the Sipping Off The Cuff episodes he hosts regularly with M.A. “Mike” Morales on www.TequilaAficionado.com

When Alex fell in love with the under appreciated spirits of Mexico, he made it his mission to educate the public on these fine spirits. Alex has interviewed many leaders in the Tequila industry and naturally gravitated to the craft cocktail realm forming The Liquid Collaborative, bringing education, craft cocktail creations to the masses and serving as a brand ambassador. Alex makes his home in Southern California and enjoys traveling, collects cocktail books and memorabilia and makes beer with his son at his home brewery.

Donald Mendoza - Co-Founder

Don is a talented photographer with a background in graphic arts. He turned to bartending and cocktail creation to expand and express his artistic talents.

Early on, Don would get kicked out of the bar area so the “geeks” (you know who you are) could work on their cocktails. Well Don came back with a vengeance and helped found The Liquid Collaborative with some true cocktail design artistry. He too is now a cocktail geek and is our principal cocktail designer.

Don makes his home in Southern California, collects cocktail books and visits thrift stores hunting for cocktail barware when he can.
